As an important gateway to EMEA region, Borchwerf II is surrounded by the maritime and intermodal terminals of the Rotterdam and Antwerp main ports. Companies can find educated, trained and skilled logistics employees in the municipalities of Roosendaal, Halderberge and the immediate area. There is a structure with multiple logistics educational programs, and these fit most of the management and hands-on work that is performed for logistics companies.
Approximately 66,000 people in the immediate area also work further away in the region and would prefer to work closer to home.

Working for logistics companies mostly takes place via local employment agencies. It mostly concerns practically educated and trained employees for driving reach stackers, order pickers, other hands-on warehouse employees and also administrative employees. The region is well known for it’s labour force at all the required levels, with people that understand - and are willing to contribute to - the core process of the companies.

The local employment agencies have a dedicated pool of permanent employees for companies, with a shell of flex workers who work for various companies. They invest in introductory work programs. Because of these factors, they have built up a pool of flexible employees who can start working anywhere and at any time.
